When Hands On Charlotte in North Carolina heard what Boston Cares volunteers are doing, they adapted our United We Serve campaign AND let us know their aim is to top our goal of 2,000 hours by September 11th!
Why should you participate?
Because anyone can make a difference, whether it's through organized projects like the Boston Cares Calendar or everyday acts of neighboring like picking up trash in the park or helping an elderly neighbor with household repairs. "Initiatives such as United We Serve help highlight community needs while giving people an opportunity to get involved or more involved. I also think this type of challenge is important because it helps people set attainable goals and encourages them to establish their own ideas for projects."
