From barbecues and fireworks to baseball and trips to the beach, there's no time like summer for fun in the sun. But for thousands of disadvantaged Massachusetts children, summer is no vacation. The good news is that C2C has two special projects this season where companies, families, and community groups can use their time to make a difference! Read on to find out how you can change the lives of our state's most vulnerable children this summer.
The Rodman Ride for Kids
Helping local children is as easy as riding a bike
Looking for a fun way to help local children? Cradles to Crayons has been invited to join the Rodman Ride for Kids! Over 1,000 riders will come together in Foxboro on Saturday, September 26th. Cyclists can compete on a 25, 50, or 100 mile-long course through Southeastern Massachusetts. Riders are asked to raise $1,000 for C2C to participate.
You can sign up for the Rodman Ride as an individual or as a team of any size. The Ride underwrites all expenses related to the event, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes directly to kids in need! Click here to sign up, and then hop on your bike and start pedaling to make a difference!

The C2C Ten Kid Challenge
Take the challenge to get ten local kids Ready for School
In 2008, 500 volunteers came to City Hall Plaza with one goal: to prepare local children to succeed on the first day of school by stuffing 20,000 backpacks in under four hours. Click here to see video from last year's event.
This year, in an effort to reach more children than ever, C2C is excited to launch the Ten Kid Challenge! We're asking volunteers to raise $150 to help ten local children get Ready for School. The first 150 volunteers who raise at least $150 will be invited to participate in C2C's 3rd Annual Backpack-A-Thon on City Hall Plaza. Volunteers will raise money through a personal fundraising website where every dollar raised will support C2C's efforts to send kids back to school with the essentials they need to thrive!
